Originally from London, Lorraine moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1995. Nick-named Renaissance Woman by those close to her, her interests and talents are varied. Born into a musical family, her passion for music was apparent from a very early age and has carried with her throughout her life, leading to her co-founding a very successful local music studio and also being the Founder of another. However, music was not the only path that she followed. She also studied Mathematics & Computer Studies at Portsmouth University and went on to become very successful as a leader in the design and development of mobile telecommunication systems.
In 1994, Lorraine was one of the of the co-founders of Æthos Communication Systems, a company founded to provide innovative products and detailed technical and business consulting to the global wireless telecommunications industry. Æthos were the first company to develop a GSM pre-paid solution and were the company behind the rapid growth of pre-paid wireless services in the early 1990s. Æthos was sold to LogicaCMG PLC in December 1998 for $78 million.
Following on from that, she has spent the rest of her technical career working in the email deliverability, Internet marketing and cloud-based rich media industries as a senior consultant.
Lorraine is married with 4 children, is a singer-songwriter, loves to run, has a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and has been known to take her motorcycle on the race-track in her spare time.
